Grand pigalle hotel – Giovanni Passerini

Hello hello 🙂

Hello hello 🙂

Last summer, I was talking about the Grand Hotel Pigalle, where I had the chance to discover the cocktail and a few plates “tapas”. I returned a few weeks ago to test the new map of the new chief of the place: Giovanni Passerini! Creator of the Rino (a well-known restaurant in Paris), the leader chose to settle in Pigalle Grand Hotel and offers a new Wine & Dine menu. The spotlight is made to products, very well selected and tasty, often from small local producers and / or Italian.

The menu is now filled with Mediterranean accents, see exclusively Italian;) And frankly, this is not displease me. After the boom burgers of all kinds in Paris, Italian cuisine has the wind in its sails and the Grand Hotel Pigalle map not going to make me lie. Whether in the plate or in the glass besides, indeed, the basement of the hotel has a selection of Italian wines unique to Paris, the opportunity to make a leap in Sicily to taste the amphorae COS for example;) do not spoil, the service is discreet but just smile, efficient and fun!

what do we eat ?

You can not miss the buratta, creamy to perfection, delicately seasoned and support its small artichoke. The question will be whether you prefer the kind or smoke (personally I suggest you try both!).

Kudos for the pizetta, with bursts of pistachio and serrano ham, a discovery that I recommend bluffing. If you go for lunch, do not hesitate to order the daily menu, or just card entry or dish that makes you feel like myself with this delicious soup of split peas and watercress.

To end on a sweet note, be tempted by the desserts a la carte, which change regularly, for lightness, I opted for a cream with pistachio, delicate and tender;)
